Position: Software Engineer
Duration: Direct-Hire
Salary: $120-140K/year commensurate with experience

Work Location: Glenwood, IL
This position is onsite 5 days per week for the first 3 months. Remote flexibility up to 2 days per week after 3 months.
We're seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support business-critical applications that integrate with enterprise systems and external technologies. This role will be responsible for building scalable solutions, optimizing application performance, and supporting cloud-based deployments within a collaborative Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom applications using .NET technologies.
- Build and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and data integrations.
- Troubleshoot application performance, reliability, and latency issues across distributed systems.
- Develop integrations between enterprise applications, third-party platforms, and cloud services.
- Support software deployment, release management, and CI/CD processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable business solutions.
- Participate in Agile development processes, sprint planning, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience developing applications using C# and/or VB.NET.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures, views, query optimization, and data integration solutions.
- Experience with Entity Framework and enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience with source control, automated deployments, and build management tools.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting applications in AWS environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Experience working within Agile teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating software with external systems, devices, or real-time data sources.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and scalable application design.
- Experience supporting mission-critical operational environments.
- Candidates with PLC/manufacturing integration backgrounds
