What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain high-quality applications using Microsoft Visual C++ and .NET technology.
- Design and implement user interfaces using WPF and Windows Forms.
- Utilize SQL databases for application development, including query performance evaluation.
- Work on embedded system development with QNX Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and similar platforms.
- Perform object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/OOD) using UML formal notations and CASE tools (e.g., Rational Rose, Rhapsody).
- Conduct software architecture analysis to ensure testability, maintainability, and necessary redesigns.
- Define internal and external software interfaces using industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in Agile software development and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from systems requirements to design validation.
- Perform timing analysis, resource allocation, and memory management to optimize software performance.
- Lead configuration management activities, including management of Subversion or other configuration tools.
- Implement build server design, scripting, and deployment automation processes in regulated environments (e.g., medical, aerospace).
- Travel occasionally within the U.S. or abroad as required for project assignments.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in configuration management and software development using Microsoft Visual C++, .NET, and C#.
- Proficiency in SQL database technology and query optimization.
- Experience with UML formal design notation and OOA/OOD CASE tools (e.g., Rational Rose, Rhapsody).
- Expertise in embedded systems development with multi-threaded applications and QNX RTOS or similar.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Web-based communication protocols (SOAP, HTTP, TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as IronPython, Perl, Shell scripting, etc.
- Strong understanding of software performance optimization including timing analysis, resource allocation, and memory management.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical, aerospace) and Continuous Process Improvement.
- Proficiency with Atlassian toolsets (JIRA, Bamboo) and continuous integration tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to travel occasionally based on project needs.
