Role Summary:-Responsible for end-to-end design, development and maintenance of software/web applications, microservices and cloud solutions within an Agile team supporting financial-industry products.
Key Responsibilities:-- Design, develop and maintain microservices using .NET Core, .NET 8, C# and Java, with event-driven architecture.
- Use Entity Framework (EF) for database interaction and apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Develop REST APIs and implement OAuth, security best practices and SDD using generative AI/Claude.
- Use Docker and AWS services including S3, Lambda, API Gateway and RDS.
- Maintain and modernise legacy .NET Framework 4.x applications.
- Deploy/manage applications on IIS and Windows Server, including Web.config/config transformations.
- Develop responsive applications using ASP.NET/WebForms, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Create/review unit tests using generative AI and maintain reusable UI components/design systems using Storybook.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams, troubleshoot full-stack issues and optimise application performance/scalability.
- Develop/deploy cloud-native microservices using Java Quarkus and support OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing and observability.
- Work with Oracle databases, including query optimisation and .NET integration.
Required Skills & Experience:-- 5+ years preferred as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
- Strong .NET Core, .NET 8, C#, Java and backend development experience.
- Microservices, event-driven architecture, EF and DDD.
- Docker/containerisation and OAuth/security.
- Hands-on AWS: S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS.
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET and WebForms.
- Unit testing and Storybook.
- Generative AI/Claude experience for Spec Driven Development (SDD) and code development/review.
- Legacy .NET Framework 4.x maintenance and modernisation.
- Oracle SQL, query optimisation and .NET integration.
- IIS, Windows Server and Web.config transformations.
- Java Quarkus, cloud-native microservices and OpenTelemetry.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:-- Unix and Windows environments.
- AWS certification such as AWS Developer/Solutions Architect.
- Node.js.
- MSSQL/RDS.
- CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Agile development.
- React or other SPA frameworks.
