What The Role Is

Working closely with the Internal Audit Director, you will assess and strengthen governance frameworks and risk management practices across a range of domains, whilst leading the implementation of improvements on the ground. This role offers a unique opportunity to build broad expertise across various governance domains — and to implement your own recommendations to fruition.

This is a 2-year supernumerary contract role.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Provide advisory across governance, risk, and control domains, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), and Sustainability Reporting (SR)
  • Review existing frameworks, risk registers, and control plans to identify gaps, develop practical and actionable recommendations, and independently implement the agreed improvements
  • Prepare well-structured advisory reports, working papers, and presentations for management and Board-level audiences.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to drive buy-in and ensure recommendations are implemented successfully.
  • Report progress and key findings to Management regularly.
  • Participate in internal audit review assignments on an ad-hoc basis

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or governance will be preferred
  • Basic understanding of governance and risk frameworks such as COSO ERM or ISO 31000, with the ability to deepen knowledge independently on the job
  • Some familiarity with ERM, BCP, WSH, or SR is an advantage
  • Intellectually curious and a strong self-directed learner, able to navigate unfamiliar subject areas and form independent views
  • Strong analytical thinker with the ability to translate assessments into practical, actionable improvements
  • Clear communicator in writing and in person, comfortable presenting to management and Board-level stakeholders
  • Takes ownership, works independently, and engages stakeholders collaboratively and professionally

This multifaceted role offers unique opportunities for professional growth through exposure to strategic initiatives. You will make meaningful contributions to URA governance.
