We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our global Strategic Procurement team. In this role, you will own the supplier strategy and cost saving agenda for a high-value electronics category with global responsibility across sites and functions. You will work closely with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Purchasing to align supplier strategy, drive cost savings, and support new product introduction.
What you will do
- Own strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, including business continuity planning, for a high-value category exceeding €100 million per annum
- Formulate and execute cost saving initiatives through negotiation, value engineering, productivity/SLP, benchmarking, and cost model analysis
- Align with cross-site and functional managers across R&D, Quality, Operations, and Purchasing to align supplier strategy with category needs
- Engage in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including supplier selection and roadmap planning
- Manage supplier selection, qualification, evaluation, development, and phase-out
- Negotiate price, terms, and commercial conditions of contracts, providing contracting support and statements of work in collaboration with legal
What you bring
- Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain; with 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain
- Experience in engaging cross-site manufacturing and R&D counterparts in the electronics industry or category; past management of category value exceeding €100 million
- Strong analytical skills in quantitative analysis such as TCO modeling and product cost modeling to identify cost saving opportunities
- Ability to manage cost saving projects independently, negotiate contract terms toward WSA objectives, and interact across cross-functional and global organizations
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a result-driven mindset and the ability to collaborate across sites, globally and cross-functionally
