What The Role Is

You lead and supervise a small team to leverage data science methods and techniques to enhance MINDEF/SAF's strategic communications.

What You Will Be Working On

Supervise the derivation of data-driven insights and recommendations
Study MINDEF/SAF's audiences and defence-related issues with integration of social science insights
Guide MINDEF/SAF's strategic communications strategy, policy and planning across public and internal communications, and community engagement
Lead the team to develop and maintain the communications data architecture to support analysis and decision-making

Challenge(s)
Explaining complex data and technical findings to strategic communications practitioners and decision makers
Understanding MINDEF/SAF's organisational considerations and the intricacies of the information environment that MINDEF/SAF operates in

What We Are Looking For

Education in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychometrics, Operational Research, or a related field
At least 6 years of relevant work experience in a data science, analytics or communications role, with at least 2 years is in a supervisory capacity
Possess necessary technical knowledge and familiarity with analysis methods, data management, programming languages and visualisation software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills

Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
