Custom Software Engineer

Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will spend your day designing, coding, and improving software components that meet unique business requirements. Your work involves collaborating with team members to ensure solutions are scalable and efficient, while adapting to evolving project needs. You will engage in continuous learning and problem-solving to contribute effectively to the development lifecycle and deliver high-quality software products. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Maintain and enhance existing software applications to improve performance and reliability. - Document development processes and code changes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance. - Assist in identifying potential risks and propose mitigation strategies during the development process. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL). - Strong knowledge of database design principles and query optimization techniques. - Experience in writing efficient stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application logic. - Familiarity with integrating PLSQL code with other software components and services. - Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex database-related issues to ensure system stability. - Understanding of version control systems and collaborative development workflows. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL). - This position is based at our Manila office.
