The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of site facilities and equipment maintenance for our automotive and car services client. This role requires a hands-on approach to monitoring technical parameters, managing inventory, and ensuring high equipment availability and status.
- Operational Excellence and Service Delivery: Drive the consistent delivery of high-quality operational services and ensure the efficient functioning of all site facilities and equipment maintenance within the automotive service center.
- Technical Monitoring and Data Management: Conduct meticulous monitoring of technical parameters, diligently gather essential technical data, manage the inventory of technical consumables, and provide daily or per-shift reports on equipment availability and status.
- Equipment Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive plans for both minor and major equipment maintenance, oversee their execution, and manage related facility improvement projects from initiation to completion.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to all local regulatory compliance, secure necessary permits & licenses (MEPF & EHS), and robustly implement Environment Compliance as well as Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs, with a minimum of SO2 knowledge.
- Integrated Facilities Management Oversight: Take charge of managing hard services, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and HVAC systems, while also providing support for soft services like housekeeping, security, pest control, and landscaping.
- Energy Management Systems: Implement and maintain energy management systems to optimize utility consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities, and contribute to the facility's sustainability goals.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage relationships with various vendors and contractors, ensuring service quality, and collaborate closely with both internal teams and external clients to align on operational objectives.
- Budget Management and Reporting: Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and control of operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets, and generate detailed reports on facility performance and maintenance activities.
Job Qualifications:
We are looking for a Registered Engineer with significant experience in a manufacturing or commercial facility, particularly with automotive service center equipment.
- Engineering Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Electrical Engineer or Registered Mechanical Engineer professional license in the Philippines.
- Extensive Work Experience: Possess at least 5 years of direct work experience in Engineering, Site Operations, and Asset Maintenance & Management, preferably within a manufacturing facility or a large commercial portfolio.
- Leadership and Management Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or people manager role, with a proven ability to lead and develop technical teams.
- Technical and Maintenance Expertise: Be highly technical, knowledgeable in Maintenance Engineering, Asset Maintenance & Management Frameworks, and proficient in executing both minor and major equipment maintenance planning and project management.
- Automotive Facility Specific Background: Have a strong background in car service center facilities maintenance, including hands-on experience with mechanical equipment such as compressors, water treatment systems, hydraulic lifters/jacks, exhaust/jet fans, elevators, and VRF air-conditioning.
- EHS and Regulatory Compliance: Possess comprehensive knowledge of Environment Compliance and Occupational Health & Safety programs (Minimum SO2), along with an understanding of Local Regulatory Compliance, Permits & Licenses (MEPF & EHS).
- Integrated Facilities and Vendor Management: Proven experience in integrated facilities management covering both hard (MEP, HVAC) and soft services (housekeeping, security, pest control, landscaping), coupled with strong vendor management skills.
- Location and Soft Skills: Reside near Marikina (or within a 1-hour travel time to the client site in Marikina) and exhibit excellent client management, budgeting (OPEX/CAPEX) experience, and overall strong interpersonal and communication skills.
