Senior Bookkeeper (Up to ₱80,000 | Remote | FREE AI Certification)

Cebu, Philippines | 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM PHT | Monday to Friday


Are you the person your team trusts to keep the books airtight, the close on schedule, and the numbers ready before anyone has to ask? We're looking for a Senior Bookkeeper who can own the full day-to-day financial recordkeeping for a growing US-based hospitality group — someone who catches discrepancies before they become problems and reports on the business with total confidence.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role. You'll work directly in QuickBooks Online to manage vendor payments, credit card tracking, deposits, and reporting, while also guiding other bookkeepers to keep every close on time. If you're accurate, autonomous, and energized by fast-paced financial work, this role gives you real ownership from day one.


YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

  • At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience with strong command of accounting principles
  • At least 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and a track record of recording data accurately
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with the ability to produce clear, accurate financial reports
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

STRONG SIGNALS

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Prior experience with Karbon (no worries if not — you'll be onboarded through Karbon's guided implementation in your first weeks)
  • Experience overseeing or mentoring other bookkeepers
  • Confidence making day-to-day decisions for your team without needing constant sign-off


RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Transaction Management & Accuracy

You own the accuracy of every transaction that flows through the books.

  • Allocate invoices and payments to the correct accounts and class in QuickBooks Online
  • Track orders, invoices, and payments to vendors from start to finish
  • Track and verify deposits, payments, and open balances
  • Track and allocate credit card charges and amounts due each week


Financial Reporting & Monthly Close

You ensure the numbers are accurate, current, and ready to guide decisions.

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by posting and verifying entries
  • Track expenses, budgets, taxes, cash flow, receipts, and other financial dealings of the business
  • Provide regular financial reports — weekly, monthly, and yearly — for vendors, clients, and management
  • Keep all monthly close tasks on schedule


Team Oversight & Process Ownership

You support the wider bookkeeping function, not just your own workload.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to bookkeepers supporting other parts of the business
  • Make autonomous decisions to keep the team's work moving and on track
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with key stakeholders on financial status and issues
