Job Summary

Oversees all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with local tax regulations, effective budgeting, and team management, while also handling day-to-day finance and accounting functions such as journal entries, accounts receivable and payable, and the use of financial systems. The Finance and Accounting Manager ensures timely reconciliation and reporting of financial statements, prepares analyses for the Director and key stakeholders, maintains fiscal records, and serves as the main point of contact for internal staff on invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts, revenue, and budgets, while also implementing and training staff on systems that improve efficiency, accessibility, and distribution of financial information.

Duties & Responsibilties

  • Ensure that all day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, credit card transactions, and payroll, are accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Perform timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update accounting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
  • Ensure proper recognition of revenue and expenses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Monitor cash balances and oversee cash flow management, including preparation of cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of departmental and organizational budgets, and support monthly financial reporting requirements.
  • Support year-end closing processes and coordinate with external auditors for audit requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with management regarding financial performance and issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, including implementing and optimizing accounting software and training staff on its use.
  • Oversee select administrative and regulatory requirements related to finance and taxation.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as assigned by the President/CEO.

Job Requirements

  • Graduated of BS Accounting or Accountancy
  • CPA is advantage
  • With at least 7 years working experience in the same capacity
  • Must be familiar in QuickBooks and other accounting systems
  • Knowledgeable in BIR process
  • With background in logistics company is an advantage
  • Willing to be assigned in Ermita Center Building, Ermita Manila
