As a Safety Officer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our construction site personnel. This full-time position is responsible for implementing and maintaining robust safety procedures to protect our employees and comply with industry regulations.
What you'll be doing
Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Developing and delivering comprehensive safety training programmes for all site personnel
Investigating incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions
Maintaining detailed records and reporting on all safety-related activities
Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations
Promoting a strong safety culture and advocating for best practices across the organisation
What we're looking for
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience as a Safety Officer in the logistics industry
Thorough understanding of relevant HSE regulations and best practices
Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage and influence site personnel
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to effectively manage safety-related issues
Proficiency in using safety management software and technology
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field
