Pay is decent, but benefits could improve

I've been working as a Software Developer here for a bit. The pay is okay for the Dallas, TX area, but the benefits really drag it down. It's a pretty standard mid-sized company for IT solutions.

Pros

As a Software Developer, the base salary I got was pretty competitive for the Dallas, TX market. They do offer a 401k match, which is a solid plus. Paychecks are always on time.

Cons

Health insurance plans aren't great; high deductibles make them tough to use. There aren't many extra perks or performance bonuses for IT roles here. It's mostly just the base pay.

Advice to Management

Management should really look into improving the health benefits. Better plans would make a huge difference for employees and help with retention.

IT Support Specialist

Leadership Needs to Step Up Communication
Pros: I've learned a ton as an IT Support Specialist working on various systems integration projects. The team in the San Jose office is really collaborative and always ready to help each other out. We handle a good mix of technical challenges daily.
Cons: Leadership often makes decisions without explaining the 'why', which is frustrating. There's a real lack of clear direction for project managers and technical leads. It feels like they're out of touch with what's happening on the ground for daily IT operations.
Advice to Management: Leadership really needs to work on transparency and better communication. Involve the technical teams more in strategic decisions, especially for large client projects, instead of just dictating changes. Listen to feedback from the front lines.
