The Research Officer is to assist the study investigators in the execution of research related to healthcare associated infections and to be a liaison person for the SGH investigating team and all other study collaborators to ensure that the progress, budget, and quality of the research are in accordance with established policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to evaluate data in quality systems or databases and identify gaps
• Collaborate closely with SGH and project collaborators to manage and deliver the database with observance of governance processes
• Perform high level technical assessment of relevant key indicators and project milestones
• Identify and propose improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the database/ system or workflow.
• Extract HAI/HA-MDRO data from SGH clinical data warehouse (eHINTS)
• Validate extracted HAI/HA-MDRO data against reference dataset.
• Analyse data using statistical softwares such as SPSS, STATA, R or Python, and/or TABLEAU
• Proficient in PL/SQL and Python for data manipulation
• Work with stakeholders to evaluate data in quality systems or databases and identify gaps

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in any discipline, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data science, Information Systems/Technology with/ or 1 to 2 years of working experience

• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
