The Art department at Outwood Academy City is situated in the heart of the academy with two large sunny rooms plus a dedicated clay room with adjacent kiln and store. About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge difference to TEC Partnership as the strategic lead for all things digital. The role leads a multi-disciplinary substantial team to drive forward the use of digital technologies throughout the organisation with the aim of improving our use of digital in the delivery of teaching/learning, our administrative and business support processes and all other aspects that utilise information and digital technologies. The post encompasses horizon scanning and forward planning for new and emerging technologies including virtual reality, immersive and in particular artificial intelligence across the whole of TEC Partnerships operations. As the leader in this area the post will have the responsibility for the departments that are able to effectively embed these technologies.

About the person

To be appointed to this post you will have an extremely strong technical background with excellent understanding of IT and digital technologies in the context of education or a similar environment.

The ideal candidate will also:

Need to have outstanding up to date knowledge of the latest technologies available
Be able to evidence how you keep up to date with these technologies and where you have effectively implemented them.
Be an absolute enthusiast for the use of technology in teaching, learning and evidence how you have made significant system improvements with the use of new technology and ideas.
You will need to be able to lead from the front, be very visible and present to the highest standards.

• Responsible for all project management and that includes conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of all project or contract documents so as to be familiar with every detail and/or requirements.
• Reporting to the Executive Director and overseeing HOD/Project Managers who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and make sure that works are allocated to them in an appropriate manner and are prioritized based on urgency and the needs of the customers.
• Provide excellent leadership to strategically manage risk and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time.
• Able to meet project budgets through assessing and analyzing operational and financial risks that may be encountered in the execution of planned projects.
• In-charge of the designing and execution of construction strategies upon which the completion of different projects will be based.
• These strategies may deal with issues like mapping out guidelines for the selection of subcontractors/suppliers to execute projects and analyze their quotations.
• Authorise construction planning, programming and completion schedules.
• Authorise engagement of subcontractors, management of subcontractors work to achieve outcomes and all major subcontract variations .
• Monitor progress, ensuring that work quality and techniques are of high standard and report regularly on project performance and cost against company objectives.
• Evaluate sub-contractors/suppliers’ performance.
• Implement standard rules and regulations as well as upgrade and improve working methods.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years experience in supervision of major underground / PUB or LTA project.

Preferably with DTSS, JEL, CRL, DTL / TEL experience.

Qualified TD/PD must have LTA railway and or TBM project reference.

Degree in Civil Engineering accredited with Singapore PE Board
