We are currently recruiting for a BUSINESS OFFICE ACCOUNTANT AND PAYROLL SPECIALIST for our Edmonton, AB client.

Job Description
As the Business Office Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the leadership team at the community, as well as the accounting team at the central office
Oversee all business office and primary accounting functions - AR / AP / GL / JE/ month end, and year end.
Processing payroll (semi-monthly)
Oversee financial reporting and budgeting for the community
Assist with monthly invoicing, Heavy Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Partner with leadership team in the community on budgeting and financial decisions
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
A degree in business administration, accounting preferred. Working experience with AP and AR, as well as month end and year end functions.
Weekly upkeep of labour calculations in all program areas.
Experience processing payroll
Experience working with budgets for multiple departments
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Prior exposure to computerized accounting software; experience with RealPage property management software is a plus
Excellent time-management skills, flexibility and the ability to prioritize among multiple and/or competing tasks
A genuine interest in working with a senior population
Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, and staff members.
Enjoy being part of a team
An above-average level of attention to detail and accuracy
Must be extremely polished and well presented
