Overview We are seeking an experienced consultant to enhance our software delivery processes across multiple web applications and services built with
Next.js, .NET Core, and Python. Code is hosted in GitHub and delivered using GitHub actions alongside GitOps principles via ArgoCD. Our applications run in Kubernetes clusters (EKS), with some frontends in AWS S3/Cloudfront.
Project: We aim to transition from basic deployment automation towards an advanced
continuous integration and release strategy. This includes implementing
end-to-end testing in sandbox, automated validation for deployed releases, and a reliable method for
auto-promotion to production. Additionally, we wish to establish a streamlined
analytics strategy to display usage metrics such as logins and pageviews in Grafana for stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Assess the existing CI/CD setup and recommend enhancements.
- Design a reusable pipeline strategy for:
- Next.js applications
- .NET Core services
- Python services
- Monorepos and full-stack repositories
- Implement or guide implementation of:
- Build and test automation
- Deployment validation
- Sandbox smoke tests
- End-to-end tests
- Release promotion gates
- Assist in designing a test strategy for Microsoft Entra authentication flows.
- Provide recommendations for structuring test environments and test data.
- Define a practical analytics/event tracking approach for product usage.
- Assist in creating Grafana dashboards for business and technical stakeholders.
- Document the solution for internal team maintenance.
Key Requirements
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of GitOps principles for deployment to Kubernetes.
- Experience with end-to-end testing in browser-based applications.
- Familiarity with Next.js, .NET Core, and Python.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra/Azure AD authentication.
- Experience in designing CI/CD strategies for multi-repo and monorepo setups.
- Experience with observability or analytics dashboards, preferably utilizing Grafana.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Playwright.
- Experience with release promotion models and gated deployments.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry or event-based analytics.
- Experience working with self-hosted infrastructure.
