THE ROLE:

FGE NexantECA seeks a Consultant/Senior Consultant for an opportunity based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of relevant industry and/or consulting experience in energy and chemicals, with a technical and commercial focus.

The role will cover consulting activities addressing technology, economics, industry and market analysis across a broad range of energy and chemicals sectors.

Job Requirements

Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant industry discipline e.g., chemical engineering, chemistry, energy science or materials science
  • Excellent standard of academic qualification.

Skills & Experience:
  • 5-10+ years' relevant work experience with 5 or more years in consulting, business management, corporate planning, technology development and licensing ormarket research,.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for interacting with clients in English
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Advanced IT skills to support consulting activities.

Personal Qualities & Knowledge:
  • Positive and flexible attitude to work particularly on new initiatives.
  • Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness.
  • Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.
  • Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Passionate about sustainability and better business decisions.
  • Willingness to travel.


Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate or lead in the execution, delivery and management of consultancy engagements across a broad range of energy and chemicals sectors.
  • Conduct research on market and industry landscapes, process technology trends, develop comparative economic models of capital and operating costs of industrial plants, and prepare detailed technoeconomic and commercial or strategic studies including written reports.
  • Conduct primary research to understand key industry issues and develop market views and projections.
  • Work closely with clients, prepare and deliver presentations, and assist in building strong client relationships.
  • Develop proposals for clients covering feasibility studies, due diligence engagements, market and pricing analyses, technology assessments and other related projects
  • Develop and broaden personal knowledge and capabilities.
  • Meet internal quality, time and budget constraints.
  • Provide support to other team members as appropriate and assist in training and development activities.
