Language Lead – Simplified Chinese (

Responsibilities
- Serve as the linguistic Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Simplified Chinese.
- Review and interpret project guidelines and provide language-specific clarifications.
- Support training and onboarding of annotators.
- Conduct linguistic calibration sessions and office hours.
- Review challenging audio samples and edge cases.
- Resolve disputes related to transcription, speaker identification, and language interpretation.
- Validate localized trigger phrases and language-specific conventions.
- Review User Turn transcriptions for:
- transcription accuracy,
- number formatting,
- filler word handling,
- truncated/unsure tags,
- intended vs unintended speech classification.
- Partner with QA and Delivery teams to resolve linguistic escalations.
- Create learning documents and language-specific best practices.
Required Skills
- Professional level Simplified Chinese proficiency.
- Strong written Chinese grammar and transcription skills.
- At Least B2 Level English
- Experience in transcription, speech annotation, ASR, NLP, LLM, or voice-assistant projects.
- Ability to analyze audio recordings with multiple speakers.
- Experience creating training material and conducting calibrations.
Preferred
- Previous Siri/Alexa/Google Assistant/Voice AI projects.
- Experience with speech data annotation platforms.
- Experience supporting large annotation teams.
Project Details
- Duration: 4 to 6 weeks
- Working Hours: 4 to 8 hours per day
- Workdays: Monday to Friday
- Work Window: Between 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (local time)
