ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting function is responsible for all external financial reporting, including SEC periodic Filings, Quarterly earnings releases, 401(k), and investor relations presentations. The role also serves and an internal consulting function to address complex transactions and issues faced by the business. This role will assist the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting with:
- Support drafting of SEC filings in Workiva (Annual Form 10-K, Quarterly Form 10-Q, Quarterly Earnings Press Release on Form 8-K)
- Preparing or reviewing schedules to support financial statements and footnotes for SEC filings
- Preparing monthly journal entries and reconciling accounts for company's capital structure (debt and equity)
- Prepare monthly entries for share-based compensation and assist in preparing forecasts
- Assist foreign subsidiaries with statutory requests related to stock-based compensation
- Assist in calculation of actual Diluted Weighted Average counts and preparing forecasts
- File period U.S. Census reports for financial results
- Assist Tax in validating R&D expense recording
- Assist in monitoring and researching new accounting standards.
- Reviewing and monitoring corporate accounting policies and working with various stakeholders to implement changes when necessary to adapt to changes in the business, organization, or accounting standards to ensure that policies remain effective, efficient and compliant with GAAP.
- Preliminarily update assessment memos for complex accounting areas including impairment reviews, AR factoring, search for related party transactions, strategic investments, etc.
- Proofread and mechanically validate accuracy of financial statements, notes, or presentations.
- Assist in preparation of financial statements on notes for U.S. 401(k) Plan
