This role is based in our Menara Skymind office.
We're seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead our engineering organization, reporting directly to the VP of Product, Tech and Strategy. You'll oversee our core technology platforms—the Omdia Customer Platform, data visualization tools, APIs and survey platform—while driving AI initiatives, enhancing customer experience, and strengthening platform fundamentals across security and integration.
You'll lead a team of 6 engineers plus outsourced resources, with the opportunity to grow the team strategically. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions while communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders across our global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute software engineering strategy aligned with Omdia's business objectives
- Lead AI initiatives to enhance research delivery, data analytics, and customer-facing capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement in customer experience across all platforms
- Strengthen platform security, integration, and technical infrastructure
- Oversee development of the Omdia Customer Platform, APIs, data visualization tools, and survey platform
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure and Sitecore CMS, optimizing for performance and cost-efficiency
- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, managing both internal and outsourced resources
- Manage engineering budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to maximize ROI
- Establish and track effective KPIs to measure team performance, platform reliability, delivery velocity, and customer satisfaction
- Implement performance management processes including goal setting, regular feedback, and development planning
- Partner closely with Research Operations and Digital Product teams across global locations
- Implement Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and engineering best practices
- Balance technical debt management with new feature development
- Collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures within Informa's global organization
