Role Overview
One of our clients is looking for an Infrastructure Developer to join their company. This role will own the backend services, APIs, data systems, and AWS infrastructure for a voice AI hospitality platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs
- Own and evolve AWS infrastructure across compute, data, storage, and networking
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Design data models, migrations, and retrieval systems, including vector-based pipelines where relevant
- Ensure strong security, observability, and operational reliability
- Help build a production-grade platform that can scale with customer growth
Key Requirements
- Strong Python backend experience, ideally FastAPI
- Solid API design experience across REST and WebSockets
- Hands-on AWS experience across compute, storage, databases, networking, observability, IAM, and secrets management, including services such as EC2, ECS/EKS or Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
- Strong experience with SQL and data modeling, ideally Postgres; familiarity with NoSQL and vector databases is a plus
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, scripting, and production security best practices
- Strong ownership mindset around reliability, observability, and scalable system design
Nice-to-Have
- Comfort with TypeScript and Node.js. Our frontend is React/TypeScript with Vite, so being able to read frontend code, make small frontend/API changes, or build Node-based workers and tooling is valuable
- Experience with real-time, voice, or telephony systems such as WebRTC, LiveKit, or Twilio
- Experience shipping LLM or AI-powered systems into production
- Experience with Terraform, CDK, and multi-region / multi-tenant systems
