Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs from the pre-construction stage through project completion, ensuring all works are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and contractual compliance.
Key responsibilities include
:Prepare accurate Quantity Take-Off (QTO) based on construction drawings and technical specifications.Develop project cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and project budgets.Perform unit rate and cost analysis for construction works.Evaluate and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.Monitor and control project costs in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure projects remain within the approved budget.Prepare tender documentation, including BOQs, quantity schedules, and supporting cost information.Conduct site visits to verify work progress and validate completed work quantities against project records.Calculate progress payment valuations for subcontractors and clients based on completed work.Manage Variation Orders (VO) and Change Orders (CO), including cost impact analysis and documentation.Prepare periodic project cost reports, forecasts, and budget updates.Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, and Site Execution teams to ensure effective cost and quantity control throughout the project lifecycle.Perform final account reconciliation and project cost evaluation upon project completion.Ensure all quantity surveying activities comply with company standards, contractual requirements, and project timelines
Requirement
s:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or fit-out projects is preferred.Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.Proficient in preparing Quantity Take-Offs (QTO), Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and project cost estimates.Solid knowledge of unit price analysis, budgeting, and cost estimation methodologies.Familiar with tender preparation, bid evaluation, and procurement processes.Experienced in project cost control, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.Proficient in Microsoft Excel for cost calculations and data analysis.Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is required.Experience using quantity surveying or estimating software such as CostX, Cubicost, or similar platforms is an advantage.Good understanding of construction contracts, project administration, and variation claim management.Willing to travel outside the city for site inspections and project verification when require
