Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for event venue sales, including corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and event planners to secure repeat business.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to maximize venue utilization and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional strategies that attract new clients.

Event Management & Execution:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-quality events from conception to completion, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and logistics while maintaining profitability.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams (catering, AV, security, etc.) to ensure flawless event delivery.
  • Oversee on-site event operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide exceptional client service.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and implement improvements.

Leadership & Team Collaboration:

  • Mentor and guide junior event staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to align business goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in event management with a proven track record in venue sales and business development.
  • Strong network within the corporate and social events industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) and CRM tools.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience leading large-scale / sizeable events and managing an event team is required.
