Responsibilities


As an Associate, you will work closely with the Partners leading the IP Hong Kong & International Trade Marks practice and as part of a team of lawyers with extensive industry experience, helping the group’s internal and external stakeholders to drive matters forward. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Handle a wide range of trade mark matters including clearance searches, prosecutions and oppositions
  • Manage IP portfolios for clients
  • Advise clients on trade mark protection and enforcement
  • Work with the team to stay alert to the changing IP landscape and any updates in regulations


Requirements


  • Hong Kong qualified solicitor with 4-6 years’ post qualification experience within IP/Trade Mark Law
  • A strong academic background and client service
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Self-motivated, good common sense, solid work ethics
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and be able to work under pressure
  • An organised, attention to details individual who has a commitment to high work standards
  • Excellent level of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team setting with strong communication skills and a high level of commercial awareness
