Department / Cluster: Bureau Support, Strategy & Planning Division, HA Head Office

Pay: HK$37,590 to HK$66,291 [HGPS point 15 to 27] per month (including Monthly Allowance)

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

The post-holder will be seconded to the Research and Data Analytics Office, Health Bureau with main duties as follows:

1. Conduct literature reviews to inform and support the planning and execution of data analytics and modeling across disciplines such as artificial intelligence, statistics, economics, and geography.
2. Explore and evaluate data and information gathered from diverse sources to facilitate the development of data visualisations, presentations, and advanced data analytics and modeling across various disciplines.
3. Develop structured processes for extracting, organising, and transforming raw data into analysable datasets, thereby supporting the creation of data visualisations, presentations, and sophisticated data analytics and modeling.
4. Implement planned data visualisation and presentation, as well as data analytics and modeling, drawing on insights derived from thorough literature reviews.
5. Prepare documentation of production processes and create comprehensive presentation materials for data analytics and modeling projects.
6. Execute a range of tasks associated with the planning, implementation, and dissemination of data analytics results.
7. Perform additional related duties as assigned by senior officers.

Entry Requirements:

1. A university degree or equivalent.
2. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:

1. Proficient in common office software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing.
2. Knowledge of and experience in statistical computing techniques and application of statistical packages & data visualisation tools such as SAS, Tableau, Python, R, GIS.
3. Experience in statistical analysis and computing work, economic analysis, or research related work at healthcare settings.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
6. Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
